Dornblaser Field
Dornblaser Field is home to the University of Montana track & field teams and hosts several meets each spring, including the Al Manuel Invitational.
Located near the intersection of Higgins Avenue and South Avenue in Missoula, just south of campus, Dornblaser Field opened 1968. It served as the home of Montana track and football until 1986 when Washington-Grizzly Stadium opened. It has been the exclusive home to UM's track & field programs ever since, hosting several Big Sky Conference Championship meets, most recently in 2019.
Dornblaser Field was originally located at the base of Mount Sentinel and east of Main Hall, now the location of the University Center and Mansfield Library. Originally opened in 1912, the facility was named for Paul Dornblaser, a captain of the football team that year who was killed in World War I.
The stadium has a north-south orientation at an approximate elevation of 3,200 feet (980 m) above sea level.
