Go Griz Rewards is a free program for all University of Montana students. The program is designed to cheer on our teams, create a friendly competition among fellow Grizzlies and reward our students for attending Grizzly Athletics events! Accumulate points for every athletic event you attend, which you can then use to earn rewards and redeem prizes from the Prize Store. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How do I "check-in" to events?
In the mobile app, have your location services and notifications turned on. When you are inside the geofenced area, you will have the ability to check-in to the event. To do so, please open the app and click "Check in to this Event" under the specific game and the points will be banked into your account!

What will be the first event that I can begin earning points? When is the last date that I can earn points?
You can begin earning points on August 11th, 2025. The last day to earn points will be at our last athletic event of the 2025-2026 academic year, sometime in May. The last day to redeem your points for prizes will be July 31st, 2026.

If I use points in the rewards module, does it affect my standings in the leader board?
No. The leader board will always reflect your total number of points accumulated throughout the year. In the rewards module, you will see two numbers next to your account. The first is how many points you have available to spend; the second is how many points you have accumulated throughout the year. Points that you redeem for prizes will only be deducted from the first total.

Do I have to be a UM student to participate?
Yes. Only UM students are eligible for rewards and prizes. However, the app is open to download to the general public and can be used by anyone!

How many points do I receive per event?
Each sport is designated a different level of points. Every game that has "Brawl of the Wild" attached to it will be given 50 additional points than the originally assigned point total.

Point System:
Football and Men's Basketball (200 points per game)
Volleyball, Soccer and Lady Griz Basketball (250 points per game)
Men's and Women's Tennis, Track & Field and Softball (300 points per game)
Cross Country and Golf (350)
Zoo Crew member (500 additional points)

How do I redeem prizes?
You can use your points to unlock prizes in the Rewards module of the app as soon as you have accumulated enough for the prize you want. Once you click 'Unlock', a notification will be sent to alert you when and where you can pick up your prize. Remember, this will not deduct from your total points on the leader board. Do NOT click 'Redeem' until you are ready to pick up the prize. You may not pick-up your prizes on a home football gameday or during the weekend.
