- Tied conference record with13 career interceptions
- Two-time All-Skyline Conference basketball player
- Basketball Most Valuable Player in junior year and Outstanding Defensive Player senior year
- Honorable mention All-Skyline Conference in baseball as a junior
- Played professional football in Canada (1963-1968) and coached there for more than 20 years
- his Toronto team won the Grey Cup in 1983
- Sixth CFL Coach to win 100 games in 1994
- Member of the Butte Hall of Fame
