- Earned First All-American recognition in 1992 by placing as 6th highest American and 13th overall in NCAA Indoor Championships 3,000 meter run
- Voted Outstanding Track Athlete at Big Sky Indoor Championships, winning the mile and 5,000 meters and placing 2nd in 3,000 meters in 1993
- Won the NCAA Indoor Championships 3,000 meters at Indianapolis in 1993
- Won the Big Sky 1,500 5,000 and 10,000 meters outdoors with conference records at both 5,000 and 10,000 meters in 1993
- Earned third All-American honor, placing 11th in the NCAA Outdoor 10,000 meters in 1993
- Earned 17 All-Big Sky honors, 7 Big Sky individual championships, 12-time Big Sky Conference All-Academic honors, holds 2 UM indoor track records and was named USA Track and Field Road Runner of the Year
- Placed 10th in U.S. Olympic Marathon trials in 1996
- Won USATF Half Marathon title in 1997
