 - Played for the Miami Dolphins in the National Football League for 10 seasons (1978-1987), Was named the NFL “Defensive Player of the Year” in 1983 while receiving All-Pro honors
 - Played in Super Bowls in 1983 and 1985. Played in 146 career NFL games and had 43.5 career sacks. Was a member of the Dolphins “Killer B’s” defensive line, was voted the Dolphins “Outstanding Defensive Lineman” in 1983 and 1984. Was selected on the Miami Dolphins Silver Anniversary team.
 - Was a defensive lineman for the Grizzlies, Earned the Larry Miller Award as UM’s “Outstanding Defensive Lineman” as a junior in 1976. Was an All-Big Sky Conference selection in 1975
 - Was an assistant coach at Montana in 1995 when the Grizzlies won the Division I-AA national Title, and in 1996 when they were the runners-up for the national championship
 - Came to Montana from Arlington heights High School in Illinois, where he was an honorable mention high school All-American
