- Was a 10th Round Selection of the New York Jets in the National Football league in 1980. Played in the NFL for 14 seasons as an offensive lineman and deep snapping specialist. Was with the Jets for nine seasons, and also played for the Atlanta Falcons for three years and the Washington Redskins for two seasons
- Named to the Sports Digest NFL All-Rookie team in 1980 as an offensive guard
- Was an All-Big Sky Conference team selection in 1978 and 1979. Earned the Paul Westkamp Award in 1978 and 1979 as UM’s “Outstanding Offensive Lineman”
