 - Earned six letters in two seasons at UM: two in football, two in basketball and two in baseball
 - Team captain and MVP in basketball as a senior
 - Inducted into the Grizzly Basketball Hall of Fame April 1, 1957
 - Coached football, basketball and baseball at Montana from 1956-1961. Montana’s head baseball coach from 1956-1961
 - Head football coach at Missoula High School from 1952-1955 and he guided his tams to three state titles
 - While the head football coach at Fullerton Junior College (Calif.), he won junior college national championships in 1965 (10-0), 1967 (12-0), and 1983 (10-0-1)
 - Had just one losing season in his 31 years at Fullerton J.C. and a career record of 241-70-8 (.768)
 - His JC teams won 16 conference titles, had a 47-game unbeaten streak (1964-1968), and made 13 bowl appearances
 - Voted to the Commission on Athletics Hall of Fame in 2001
 - Volunteer assistant for Griz Football from 1992 to 2004
