 - Three-year starter at offensive tackle (1992-1994), starting in 38 straight games
 - All Big Sky Conference selection in 1992, 1993 and 1994
 - Three-time all-league academic team pick
 - “Lurch” started for the West in the 1994 East-West Shrine Game and in the Senior bowl (he’s the only UM player ever selected to play in the Senior Bowl)
 - Named to several All-American teams in 1993 and 1994
 - Had an illustrious 11-year career in the NFL, playing for the New York Giants, san Francisco 49ers, and New York Jets, starting in 151 NFL games, including 112 in a row
 - A second round NFL draft pick in 1995 (ties him for the highest UM pick ever in UM history with former offensive lineman Steve Okoniewsky, who was a second round selection by the Atlanta Falcons in 1972)
 - An active member of Athletes in Action and on the board of directors of the Pro Athlete Outreach organization
 - A 1994 UM graduate (math)
 - Scott and his wife, Toni, have a daughter, Anna, and a son, Brian
