Following is the schedule of UM sporting events for this weekend:
--- Wednesday, Nov. 5 - UM men's basketball Maroon/Silver Scrimmage, 7:35 p.m., West Auxiliary Gym.
--- Thursday, Nov. 6 - UM women's soccer vs. Weber State at Big Sky Conference Championships (Ogden, Utah).
--- Friday, Nov. 7 - Montana State women's volleyball at Montana, 7 p.m., West Auxiliary Gym.
--- Saturday, Nov. 8 - Big Sky Conference Soccer Championship (Ogden, Utah); UM football at Sacramento State, 7:05 p.m.
Grizzly Scholarship Association Updates:
... The Montana GSA would like to announce the "Driving The Griz" truck raffle, with all proceeds going toward scholarships for student athletes at The University of Montana. The truck is a new 2003 Chevy Silverado fully loaded with custom Griz pin striping. The cost is $50 per raffle ticket or 3 for $125. The drawing will take place at the Griz/Cat men's basketball game in Missoula on February 21. Contact the GSA offices at 243-6481 to purchase tickets. A limited number of tickets will be sold, so don't miss out. The truck can also be seen at home Grizzly football games.
... Season ticket holders for men's and women's basketball will be able to pick up their tickets at the Adams Center starting on Friday evening, Nov. 7 prior to the Griz-Cat women's volleyball game. Tickets can also be picked up during regular business hours (Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.) starting Monday, Nov. 10.

--- Stuker named Big Sky's Soccer Defensive MVP
Wendy Stuker has been named the 2003 Defensive MVP of the Big Sky Conference. Stuker, a junior defender from Helena, Mont., anchored a Grizzly soccer defense that was second in the Big Sky in shutouts and third in saves.
--- Griz soccer heads to Big Sky Tournament
The University of Montana women's soccer team travels to Ogden, Utah, for the Big Sky Conference Tournament, with first round action starting Thursday. Montana is paired with Weber State, the Big Sky regular season champions. Weber State beat Montana 2-0 earlier this season. In the other semi-final, Idaho State plays Northern Arizona.
--- Montana football plays at Sacramento State
The 8th-ranked University of Montana Grizzlies (7-2/3-1 Big Sky Conference) play the Sacramento State Hornets (2-7/1-4 Big Sky) Saturday, Nov. 8 in Sacramento, Calif., in a key league match-up. Kickoff at Hornet Stadium (21,195 - Grass) is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. (MST).
--- Bush, Segars win national player of week awards
The Big Sky Conference and The Sports Network have named Montana defensive end Tim Bush Defensive Player of the Week with Montana return specialist Levander Segars and Montana State return specialist Corey Smith splitting Special Teams Player of the Week honors.
--- Griz, Bobcats face off Friday in Volleyball
The University of Montana volleyball team (6-17, 1-10 BSC) will close out its 2003 home schedule with a match against Montana State (16-8, 6-5 BSC) on Friday night. Start time is 7 p.m. at the West Auxiliary Gym.
--- Women's basketball picked to win Big Sky
The University of Montana Lady Griz were selected by both the league coaches and the league media to win the 2003-04 Big Sky Conference women's basketball championship the league office announced on Tuesday.
--- Montana cross country has week off
The University of Montana cross country teams have the weekend off after running in the Big Sky Cross Country Championships last weekend. The Grizzlies return to action on Nov. 15 for the Mountain Region Championships.
