... Season Football Tickets/GSA Information Mailed Out. Invoices for football season ticket holders were mailed May 10. In the same envelope was information on the Grizzly Scholarship Association. Season tickets will be $180 this year, and deadline for returning payment is June 15. For those who did not receive the mailing, please contact the UM Ticket Office at 406.243.4051 or toll free at 1-888-MONTANA. GSA questions should be directed to 406.243.6485.
Following is more ticket information:
If you have a request to move your present seat location, please write it down on the form and send it back with your payment to the Adams Center Ticket Office. Requests will be entered into individual's records, and changes will be made as they are available. This includes requests for additional seats, moving seats to another location in the stadium or moving closer to friends.
New season ticket requests should be submitted to the Adams Center Ticket Office. A letter will be mailed to these individuals in July to include them in a five-game package, with these seats being located in the south end zone. The package will not include Homecoming or Griz-Cat. There will also be a box to check that indicates if the individual is interested in purchasing the full season package if they become available.
Members of the Grizzly Scholarship Association can begin ordering tickets immediately for "away" games, but they will be limited to the number allowed by their membership level. For all non-GSA members, orders will be taken starting July 5. There will be a limited supply for the UM-Eastern Washington game in Cheney on Oct. 16.
Single-game tickets for the five home games other than Homecoming and Griz-Cat will go on sale starting Aug. 1. For those interested in the Oct. 9 Homecoming game versus Idaho State, orders will be taken by the UM Alumni Association at 406.243.5211. It is doubtful there will be any tickets available for Griz-Cat other than those that are part of the season ticket packages.
... GSA Sponsoring 'Griz Prowl' Fundraiser.
The Montana Grizzly Scholarship Association has launched the Grizzly Prowl, an effort that uses art to raise money for athletic scholarships for student-athletes.
The Grizzly Prowl is similar to other fund-raisers/art exhibits that have been started around the country. Chicago used cows in its exhibits, Seattle had pigs and Billings had horses. Missoula, of course, will use grizzlies.
Forty life-size, fiberglass grizzly bear sculptures will arrive in Missoula by June to be decorated/painted by regional artists. Each bear will be six feet long, three feet high and 20 inches wide. Once the bears are given the artistic touch, they will find their homes in area businesses that have sponsored them. Then by early fall, people will be able to take the "Grizzly Prowl" and view the bears at various sponsor locations. In 2005, the bears will be available for purchase during an auction. For more information, visit the following web site: grizzlyprowl.com or call C.J. Peterson at 406.531.9444. Also, information is available at the Grizzly Scholarship Association at 406.243.6485.

... Grizzlies boast difficult schedule.
The natural first step involves looking for somebody to rip. Each spring, we at The Sports Network begin analyzing I-AA college football schedules and singling out the cross-section of money-grubbers, wimps, and blatant mis-managers that devise the slates.
... McGowan, Guilfoyle win titles on final day of Big Sky Championships. Senior Scott McGowan won the 800 meters and 1,500 meters, and senior Mariah Guilfoyle won the 400 meter hurdles to lead both the men's and women's squads to fourth place finishes in the final-day at the Big Sky Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Ogden, Utah.
