Joyce's Journal: Winter Conditioning
1/31/2007 12:00:00 AM | General
After a hard fought loss in our final game against UMass this past December, the Griz are already hard at work preparing for another championship run.
As always, there are already high expectations for the 2007 Grizzly football team. With nearly every starter returning on both sides of the ball, the talent level of this team is promising to say the least. However, there can be no absence of hard work en route to winning a championship.
At 6:30 a.m. every Tuesday and Thursday, the Griz are working on speed, conditioning and endurance. On Monday, Wednesday, and Friday work is done on improving our strength in the weight room. One of the strongest characteristics of Grizzly football has historically been work ethic. This team certainly fills that same mold.
Spring ball will start in a little over a month and the players, as well as the coaching staff, are eager to get a look at the new team.
This season is especially important to myself as I am entering into my senior season, and my final year as a Grizzly football player. I would like to thank everyone who supports Griz football in advance for the past 3 years, and I look forward to a season to remember this upcoming fall.
Go Griz!
