The Student Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC) is competing in the Big Sky Conference "Conference Cup" t-shirt drive. Fans are encouraged to bring gently used t-shirts to the Montana volleyball games on Oct. 19 and Oct. 20 and the Griz vs. Idaho State football game on Oct. 27. UM student-athletes will be at each event at the gates to collect the t-shirts. All t-shirts donated through this effort will be donated to the Missoula Povarello Center.
T-shirts do not have to be associated with The University of Montana. Emphasis is more on shirts in decent condition that may be worn again.
The Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) consists of 1-2 representatives from each sport. The committee meets at least once a month and acts as a link between student-athletes, administration and the NCAA by discussing sport related issues and concerns. They give athletes a voice by representing their interests under highest regard. The purpose of SAAC is to enhance the student-athlete experience. The group works to build a positive image to campus and the Missoula community. SAAC creates and encourages involvement in campus and community outreach projects while also striving to actively promote and support Grizzly Athletics and stand behind the mission and values of the athletic program.
