Montana to host Griz Glam Jam cheer competition

The University of Montana Cheer Squad will host the Griz Glam Jam cheerleading competition on Sunday, January 21, 2018, in Dahlberg Arena at the Adams Center. The annual event brings in over 200 athletes and coaches, and is sponsored by Destination Missoula.
The Griz Glam Jam competition is in its eleventh year and is one of the largest cheer competitions in Montana, with teams traveling from various cities including Billings, Helena Great Falls, Missoula, and Coeur D'Alene, Idaho.
The All-Star cheerleading competition begins at 9 a.m. with specialty competitors which includes solos and stunt groups and continues through the afternoon with the team competition.
The competition is open to the public with a $7 general admission ticket. Admission for senior citizens, military personnel with ID and children age 6-17 is only $5 and children 5 and under get in free. Parking and re-entry are also free.
Proceeds from Glam Jam benefit the UM Spirit Squad program which will also be performing at the event along with the UM Dance Team and Griz mascot, Monte. For more information, visit, www.glamjam.org.
