Highlights: Montana vs. Montana State

Montana hosted Montana State in the Brawl of the Wild. The Grizzlies had a swing for the win on Sunday, before losing 17-15 in an extended fifth set. The Bobcats won the rematch on Monday night.

Set-1 Win
Montana was firing on all cylinders to open the series, recording a season-high 19 kills on .385 hitting in a 25-21 Set-1 win. Four Grizzlies had four or more kills.
Ashley Aces
Less than a week after making her collegiate debut, freshman Sarah Ashley was thrown into an even larger role, taking over for injured Sarina Moreno at libero. Ashley played the position despite doing so just once before her life, for her club team, and finished the weekend with a team-high 24 digs. Even bigger, Ashley served up six service aces, including four during an 8-0 Griz run that turned a 12-12 tie in Set 4 into an 20-12 Griz advantage.
Boutwell Highlights
In the series opener vs. Montana State, senior middle blocker Peyten Boutwell was nearly unstoppable, recording a career-high 18 kills!
