Joyce named Academic All-District

University of Montana women's golf standout Tricia Joyce was named Academic All-District on Tuesday by College Sports Communicators.

Joyce, who concluded her five-year collegiate career in April, has a 3.97 grade-point average as a business administration major.

She also was named Academic All-District last year and becomes the program's first two-time Academic All-District honoree.

Joyce, from Butte, competed in 31 events during her career, posting an 88-round scoring average of 78.67 with three top-10 finishes and a pair of top-20 finishes at the Big Sky Conference Championship.

She made a splashy debut as a freshman in the fall of 2019, carding a 70 in her second collegiate round at the Battle at Old Works in Anaconda.

In 2021-22, her third year of collegiate golf, Joyce finished second at the Battle at Old Works and tied for seventh at the Griz Invitational.

As a fifth-year senior in 2023-24, Joyce tied for seventh at the Eagle Invitational in Spokane and ended the season with a career-best scoring average of 77.85.

Joyce, a five-time Academic All-Big Sky selection, tied for 16th at the 2023 Big Sky Championship and tied for 19th at the Big Sky Championship in April.
