Batezel named to NCAA Volleyball's Rotation of the Week

The conference honors have been stacking up this season for senior Alexis Batezel, but it's not just those in Big Sky country that have taken a notice to her game. The Grizzly libero earned a spot on Michella Chester's NCAA Starting Rotation of the Week.
Batezel averaged 7.63 digs per set last week for Montana and had a historic performance in the match against Northern Colorado. Batezel's 40 digs against the Bears is tied for the most in a single match in the NCAA this season and is the 3rd most by a Grizzly in program history.
The senior averaged 10.0 digs per set in the Northern Colorado match and followed it up with 21 more digs in the win over Northern Arizona on Saturday.
Batezel has been named the Big Sky Defensive Player of the Week three times already this season, which is tied for the most in program history. She has been climbing her way up the all-time leaderboard for career digs at Montana this year, currently sitting in 6th place with 1,261.
She is averaging 4.83 digs per set this season, which ranks 3rd best in program history for single season average.
