
Hicks, Isaak named Academic All-District

Brooklyn Hicks and Tyler Isaak were named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District team, the organization announced on Tuesday.

Hicks and Isaak were honored not only for their stellar play on the floor for Montana basketball this season, but also for their work inside the classroom as both maintained impressive GPAs through the competition season.

In order to qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average while playing in 90 percent of the contests during the 2025-26 season.

Hicks, a junior from Lacey, Wash., appeared in all 34 games for Montana this season and started the final six. He finished third on the team in scoring, averaging 9.0 points per contest, and fifth in rebounding at nearly four per game.

He brought energy to the Montana lineup all year with his athleticism, delivering several highlight plays during the course of the season. Montana went 4-2 down the stretch with Hicks starting, including two wins at the Big Sky Tournament.

Hicks is a communications major with a cumulative GPA of 3.63.

Tyler Isaak, a junior from Danville, Calif., appeared in all 34 games for Montana and made 18 starts during the season. A steady presence for the Grizzlies, Isaak averaged 6.1 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game.

He was among the best in the conference at taking care of the ball, leading Montana with a 2.44 assist/turnover ratio.

Isaak is a communications major with a cumulative GPA of 3.75.
