MONTANA: Danny is one of the premier lineman at the FCS level and will be starting for the third straight season in 2013. Going into his senior year he has played in 35 career games and has 29 starts so far in his career.
2012: He started all 11 games last season at right tackle. He was a first team All-Big Sky Conference pick. He was also the co-recipient (with senior guard Jake Hendrickson) of the Paul Weskamp Award (outstanding offensive lineman).
2011: He started all 14 games at right guard and second team All-Big Sky selection.
2010: He played in nine games and started in two at left guard as a true freshman. He also has the ability to play guard. He was an All-Big Sky academic team selection with a 3.42 grade point average.
HIGH SCHOOL: He earned three letters in football and two in track and field at O'Dea High School. He was voted most improved player in football as a junior for his team that went 13-1 that lost in the state championship game. He missed most of his senior year with an injury. He was an all-league pick as a junior and senior. He was named preseason all-state choice as a senior (2008). His high school football coach was Monte Kohler.
PERSONAL: He is a sociology major. His parents are Dan and Helen Kistler of Seattle. Birth date: March 30, 1991.
