MONTANA: Chris should compete for the starting job at the post this season.
2013-14: He played in 29 games and was seventh on the team in scoring (2.8 ppg) and rebounding (tie, 2.1 pg). He shot 61.4% (35-of-57) from the field.
JUNIOR COLLEGE: He played limited minutes because of a rotating player substitution system on his team at West Texas College, and averaged 7.2 points, and a team-leading 6.6 rebounds a game, while shooting 48% from the field. He was the team captain as a sophomore. He is also an outstanding student and was on the Dean's List and carried a 3.8 GPA. He was named his school's most outstanding history student.
HIGH SCHOOL: He prepped at Archbishop Spaulding High School in Baltimore. He was a two-year letterman in basketball and also lettered in soccer. He was voted "Most Improved Player" in hoops as a junior and senior.
PERSONAL: His major is psychology. Birth date: Nov. 23, 1992. His parents are John and Shirley Kemp of Baltimore.
