The 2017 track and field season will be Adam Bork’s 10th year as a full-time assistant with the Grizzly track and field program and his 15th year as a coach in the program overall.
Bork spent one year as a graduate assistant, two as a volunteer coach and two on a half-time basis before being promoted to a full-time position in August 2007.
A two-time all-America decathlete while competing at Montana, Bork coaches the multi-events and jumps.
A former Griz standout, Bork earned all-America honors in the decathlon at both the 2001 and ‘02 NCAA outdoor championships, placing 10th with 7,229 points in 2001 and sixth in 2002 with a personal-best 7,699 points. That total continues to rank fifth in Big Sky Conference history.
Bork was the 2002 Big Sky Conference decathlon champion.
He continued to train for the multi-events after graduation and competed in the decathlon at the 2002 USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships and the heptathlon at the 2004 USA Indoor Track and Field Championships.
Bork and his wife, Ashild, a former Griz tennis player, have two sons, Olander and Benson, and a daughter, Tia.
