The 2026-27 season will be Bucurescu’s first as UM student manager after spending three years with the team as a player… Went 7-5 overall in spring singles and 4-4 in doubles in three seasons… Came to Montana ranked as one of the top-10 players in Romania… Won over 80 tournaments as a junior player… Was a four-time runner-up and three-time third place finisher at the Romanian national inter-club tournament in the men’s open division… Also a four-time team captain at the national club tournament… Was coached by Dobre Daniel, who also coached world No. 1 and fellow Romanian Simona Halep.
