Marc Kendrick

The 2026 season is Marc Kendrick’s first year as an assistant coach at Montana. He was hired in July 2025 after previously working at Tennessee Tech.
Kendrick got his full-time start in college coaching with the Golden Eagles in 2022-23, a season that would end with a record of 6-44 under a first-year staff.
Tennessee Tech was the most improved team in the country in 2024, jumping from six wins to a record of 23-24. The Golden Eagles won 21 games in 2025 in Kendrick’s final year with the program.
Kendrick broke into coaching in 2008 in the Corona (Calif.) Girls Softball Association and coached at Capistrano Valley High School from 2011-15.
In 2014 he began coaching various age groups for the Orange County Batbusters travel softball organization, a position he would hold through 2022 while working toward multiple degrees.
He coached at Santiago Canyon College from 2015 to ’18 while working toward an AA degree in kinesiology.
After helping SCC to the California Community College Athletic Association state championship in 2016, Kendrick and his fellow coaches were named the Cal JC National Coaching Staff of the Year by the NFCA.
Kendrick earned an undergraduate degree in kinesiology (sports studies) from Cal State Fullerton in 2020, then served as a graduate assistant coach at California Baptist for the 2021-22 school year.
The Lancers won 30 games in 2022, including a 6-3 victory over No. 24 BYU.
Kendrick would earn a master’s degree in kinesiology (sports management) from CBU in 2022.
He was hired by Tennessee Tech in the fall of 2022.
