Ross Sangalang

- Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach
Sangalang was promoted to Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach at the University of Montana in June 2026, following a successful graduate assistantship under Director of Football Strength and Conditioning Dan Ryan.
Prior to joining Montana, Sangalang gained extensive Division I experience at Washington State University. During his time with the Cougars, he completed an Olympic S&C internship under former Director of Strength and Conditioning Todd Barbour, as well as a Football S&C internship under Head Strength & Conditioning Coach Ben Iannacchione's staff—a role directly overseen by Associate Director of Strength & Conditioning Jake Beckett. Across these roles, he focused on athlete development, performance testing, and sport technology.
Sangalang holds a M.S. in Integrative Physiology from the University of Montana, where he authored a professional paper on velocity-based training. He earned his B.S. in Kinesiology with a Minor in Strength and Conditioning from WSU, while competing as a three-year starter for WSU Rugby.
