UM singles tie for top spot in Bulldog Classic

SPOKANE, Wash. - It was a short day for the Bulldog Classic playoffs as the doubles and singles finals ended without a decision.

The head coaches from the University of Idaho and The University of Montana called it a draw when the Vandals and Grizzlies each advanced two teams into the final playoff matches.

The University of Idaho team of Fredrik vonSydow and Brad Lum-Tucker advanced to the final match when they defeated University of Montana's Tomislau Sokolic and Joel Keilbowicz 8-6.

The Vandals other doubles team of Steve Desilva and Brock Berry defeated Gonzaga University's Shaun Whitney and Brian McConnell 7-5.

In singles action UM's Joel Keilbowicz advanced to the finals by defeating UI' s Fredrik vonSydow in three sets 6-2, 5-7, 6-4. Grizzly Tomislau Sokolic advanced to the finals when he defeated Vandal Brad Lum-Tucker 6-3, 6-4.
