Saenz named to Football Gazette All-America Team

Eastern Washington quarterback Erik Meyer is a first team All-American quarterback - again.
The Walter Payton Award winner from La Mirada, Calif., was one of 11 Big Sky Conference players named to the Don Hansen??s Football Gazette All-America Team on Tuesday. Meyer was previously named first team All-America by the Associated Press and the Sports Network.
Meyer was joined on the first team offense by Portland State running back Joe Rubin and Montana State center Jeff Bolton. Both Rubin and Bolton have been named to other All-America teams.
Eastern Washington wide receiver Eric Kimble, Eastern Washington offensive guard Matt Alfred, and Idaho State kicker Jaret Johnson were named to the second team offense. Idaho State defensive end Jeff Charleston was a second team defensive pick.
Portland State offensive guard Brennan Carvalho was named to the third team offense. Weber State defensive end Brady Fosmark and Montana defensive tackle Alan Saenz were named to the third team defense.
Sacramento State senior linebacker Matt Logue was an honorable mention defensive pick.
