Hall of Fame Banquet ticket deadline looms

Two former University of Montana football greats will be formally inducted into the Grizzly Athletic Hall of Fame, Friday, February 6, 2009, and tickets for the event are now available. The banquet in the UC Copper Commons begins with a social hour at 6:00 p.m., with dinner served at 7:00 p.m. and the induction ceremony to follow.
Scott Gragg and Steve Okoniewski are the new members of the Grizzly Athletic Hall of Fame.
Tickets are $25 and available at the UM Ticket Office and all GrizTix outlets, or may be ordered by calling 243-4051 or 1-888-MONTANA.
The final deadline to purchase tickets is Monday, Feb. 2nd.
Gragg, from Silverton, Oregon, played football at UM from 1991-94.? He was an All-Big Sky Conference selection in 1992, 1993, and 1994.? He started in the 1994 East-West Shrine Game and the Senior Bowl, and was named to several All-American teams in 1993 and 1994.?
Gragg played 11 seasons in the National Football League with the New York Giants, San Francisco 49ers, and New York Jets.? He started in 151 NFL games, including 112 in a row. ???
Okoniewski was a two-time All-American and the Grizzlies' highest ever National Football League draft pick (41ST overall in 1972). He started numerous games with stints at Buffalo and Green Bay, and was a back-up at St. Louis and Cleveland over a six-year NFL career.
From Bremerton, Wash., Okoniewski played for the Grizzlies? in 1970 and 1971. He was named an Associated Press and Kodak first team All-American in 1970 and Associated Press and United Press International All-American first-teamer in 1971. "Oke" was a first team All-Big
Sky Conference pick in 1970 and 1971, and was named to the Big Sky's 25-year Silver Anniversary Team in 1988.
