Griz ink Oregon football transfer

The University of Montana has added a defensive player to its 2010 roster, as former University of Oregon defensive lineman Tonio Celotto accepted a scholarship offer to play football for the Grizzlies and will join the team in August of 2010, announced UM head coach Robin Pflugrad today.
Celotto (pronounced cell-ah-toe), a 6-2 ? , 305-pound defensive tackle, played for the Ducks in 2007 and 2008. He played in 24 games his two seasons in Eugene, and had 36 tackles and 5.5 stops for losses. He played in 12 games as a "true" freshman in 2007 and also played in 12 contests the following season.
From Oakland, Calif., he earned three-star acclaim by both Rivals.com and Scout.com and was ranked among the top 12 defensive linemen in California as a senior by SuperPrep. He was credited with 87 tackles, including 18 quarterback sacks as a senior at Piedmont, Calif. His junior year he posted 75 tackles and 14 sacks.
His parents are Mario Celotto and Julia Lendl-Celotto of Piedmont. He will major in political science at UM. His birth date is Aug. 22, 1989. His dad, Mario, played linebacker in the NFL for four seasons with the Raiders, Bills, and Rams and played his college football at USC.
Tonio will join the Grizzlies in fall camp this August and will be a junior. He did not participate in football in 2009.
