The University of Montana men's team was swept by No. 38 Boise State 7-0 Saturday in Idaho.
A victory may not been expected. Boise State claimed the Mountain West conference last season and has an impressive 20-match winning streak at home.
Even though the team didn't pick up a win, head coach Kris Nord was not discouraged by his players performance.
"I was actually decently pleased with the effort the guys showed," says Nord. "We had a bunch of tough singles matches where we played well."
Taking on a difficult team like Boise has its positives, says Nord.
"This match helps identify what we need to work on," the head coach says. "It allows us to focus on weak areas and work on that during practice the following week."
Montana is back at it again in Boise when the team faces Air Force at 11 a.m. A full recap will follow the end of competition on GoGriz.com.
