Grizzlies return home to host Montana Open

Montana track & field will host teams from across the Treasure State this week, hosting the Montana Open. The three-day meet will feature student-athletes from Carroll, Montana State, MSU-Billings, Montana Western and Rocky Mountain, beginning Thursday with the heptathlon and decathlon.

After battling harsh conditions in their first two outdoor meets, the Grizzlies might catch a break this weekend, with forecasts currently calling for temperatures in the 50s and no moisture.

The heptathlon and decathlon will begin Thursday and extend into Friday, with the men's and women's hammer throw also taking place on Friday. The majority of the meet will run Saturday, beginning at 10:15 a.m. with the women's javelin. A complete schedule of events can be found here.

The entire meet will be held at Dornblaser Field; admission is free.
