Four Griz games to be broadcast on ROOT Sports in 2018

Griz football fans nationwide will be able to watch four games on ROOT Sports in 2018 as part of the Big Sky Conference's 10 game agreement with the network, now entering its seventh year.

ROOT Sports will kick off its season of Big Sky coverage in Missoula on Sept. 22 when the Sacramento State Hornets pay a visit to Washington-Grizzly Stadium coming off their best record under coach Jody Sears, the Co-Big Sky Coach of the Year.

The Emmy Award-winning network will then broadcast two Griz road games on consecutive weeks when the Griz head to Cedar City to take on the defending Big Sky Champion Southern Utah Thunderbirds on Nov. 3.

The following week Montana heads to Moscow on Nov. 10 when the Griz and the Idaho Vandals compete for the "Little Brown Stein" as conference foes for the first time since 1995 in the Kibbie Dome live on ROOT Sports.

The ROOT Sports crew then returns to Missoula to broadcast the league's flagship rivalry game, the 118th Brawl of the Wild game between Montana and Montana State, scheduled for Nov. 17 at Washington-Grizzly Stadium.

"The Big Sky's partnership with ROOT Sports and DIRECTV has continued to increase our brand and exposure on a national level," said Big Sky Conference commissioner Andrea Williams. "ROOT Sports produces award-winning broadcasts, and the conference is excited to be a part of that every week."

All 10 Big Sky Conference football games will be produced and televised in high-definition, with many of the games available in both the Northwest region on ROOT Sports and in the Rocky Mountain regions on AT&T SportsNet.

ROOT Sports is co-owned by the Seattle Mariners and AT&T Sports Networks, a division of DirecTV. ROOT Sports is available on cable providers throughout Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, and Alaska and nationwide on satellite via DirecTV and Dish Network.

In Missoula, ROOT Sports is available on Charter Spectrum Cable channels 60, 122 and in HD on channel 560. The network is also available on DirecTV channel 687 and Dish Network channel 426.

Kickoff times for the below slate of games and broadcast details of the remainder of Montana's 2018 schedule will be announced at a later date.
