Great Griz Encounter and Movie Night set for Wednesday

Washington-Grizzly Stadium is set to host its first-ever Great Griz Encounter and family movie night on Wednesday, with the traditional preseason Griz football pep rally highlighting a full night of activity for fans.
Now entering its 23rd year, this year's Great Griz Encounter begins at 5 p.m. on Aug. 22 and will be more than just an autograph session with the Grizzly football team.
The new Great Griz Encounter will include the chance for fans to meet both the Griz football and volleyball teams, have this year's team posters autographed and let the kids run wild in a bouncy house and an area to play catch and other games.
Fans may also pick up the latest Griz gear from officially licensed apparel vendors and enjoy a wide selection of local food and beverages while taking in the atmosphere at one of the best college football settings in the nation.
Bring your blankets or lawn chairs and plan to spend the evening with fellow Griz fans and movie lovers for the first-ever movie night in Washington-Grizzly Stadium. Following the autograph session, the evening will finish under the bright lights of the Griz Vision jumbotron with the showing of the blockbuster hit Black Panther.
The fun begins at 5 p.m. when gates to the stadium open, followed by the introduction of the football and volleyball teams at 5:30.
The two teams will sign autographs from 5:45-7 p.m. and the movie will start at 7:30.
Due to a large number of fans wishing to get autographs, there is a two-item limit.
The event is FREE to the public.
The following vendors and sponsors will be on site:
M Store, Universal Athletic, Destination Missoula, Kettle Korn, Cruz Tacos, Covered Wagon and Badlander (non-alcoholic beverages, beer & wine only).
Fans are encouraged to bring blankets or small lawn chairs to sit on the field for the movie.
Water bottles are permitted. NO GLASS WILL BE ALLOWED.
