GSA Spring Tour kicks off May 10

The 2019 Grizzly Scholarship Association Spring Tour – a statewide convoy of Grizzly Athletics coaches, administrators, and staff – kicks off on May 10 with the annual Grizzly Golf Classic in Bigfork.

"The GSA Spring Tour is an awesome time of year. Our fans have a huge impact on our program, and the GSA Spring Tour allows us to both thank them for their loyalty and raise funds for student-athlete scholarships," said senior associate AD and GSA executive director Greg Sundberg.
Â
The 2019 tour is set to make 14 stops around the state, logging nearly 4,000 miles while visiting local GSA chapters and spreading the good word of Grizzly athletics from the mountains to the prairie.

Over the course of five weeks from mid-May to early June, GSA chapters from Hamilton to Sidney and beyond will roll out the welcome mat with barbecues, golf outings, and socials, giving local fans the chance to socialize with the Griz, win auction items, and talk Montana athletics.
Â
Grizzly Athletics representatives set to travel the state include athletic director Kent Haslam, head football coach Bobby Hauck, head men's and women's basketball coaches Travis DeCuire and Shannon Schweyen, just to name a few.
Â
The annual loop of the state kicks off Friday, May 10, as the caravan heads north to Bigfork for the Grizzly Golf Classic at Eagle Bend Golf Course before heading east of the divide to Lewistown, Great Falls, Cut Bank, Fort Benton, then back to Ronan the following week, May 13-17.
Â
May 21-24 will see the Grizzly roadshow hit the Hi-Line with stops in Havre, Glasgow, and Sidney before making a return to Billings.
Â
After two massively successful years, the Billings GSA chapter will once again host a barbecue and social at the Billings Hotel and Convention Center with appearances from Hauck, DeCuire, Schweyen, and more.
Â
Billings will also play host to the second annual Grizzly Golf Fundraiser the following day on May 24 at the Laurel Golf Club.
Â
Stops in Helena, Butte and Hamilton round out the tour, with the Grizzly Conoco Golf Classic in Missoula completing the schedule.
