
Griz Football TV details finalized

The University of Montana athletic department announced its full slate of Grizzly football kickoff times and broadcast details for the upcoming 2019 season on Monday.

Six Griz games will be telecast nationwide on the Big Sky's Emmy-winning broadcast partner ROOT Sports Northwest and ROOT Sports Rocky Mountain networks, with each kicking off in the traditional early afternoon timeslot at either noon, 1 p.m., or 2 p.m. Mountain Time.

ROOT Sports is available on both DirecTV and DISH Network. ROOT Sports Northwest is available on DirecTV channel 687, and DISH channel 426. ROOT Sports Rocky Mountain is available on DirecTV channel 683, and DISH channel 414.

Montana's games broadcast by ROOT Sports are also available to watch on DirecTV's Audience Network, part of the satellite provider's basic package. Meaning, if you get DirecTV, you get the Audience Network.

Cowles Montana Media (ABC/FOX/SWX Montana) will broadcast five of the six other UM games statewide on either ABC or Fox Montana, or KULR8 or SWX in the Billings market.

ABC Montana (SWX in Billings) will simulcast the MidCoSN broadcast of the Grizzlies' season opener at South Dakota. ABC Montana (this time NBC in Billings) will also broadcast the home opener against UNA, while FOX Montana (SWX in Billings) will broadcast the home game against Monmouth.

Cowles Montana Media crews will also be in Sacramento and Portland to broadcast the Griz versus the Hornets and Vikings on Fox Montana and ABC Montana (both on SWX in Billings), respectively.

The Pac-12 Network will carry Montana's game at Oregon to complete the schedule, with Roxy Bernstein providing the play-by-play and Anthony Herron serving as analyst.

Web streams for all of Montana's games in 2019 are also available, with ROOT Sports games available via the Audience Network on DirecTV Now ($) and the AT&T Watch TV app ($). UM's two nonconference home games will be streamed at GoGriz.com/watch ($), while the season opener at South Dakota will stream on ESPN+ ($), and the game at Oregon will stream at Pac-12.com ($).
