Help the Griz create the best student-section in the Big Sky at “Football 101”

University of Montana students are invited to take what might be the most fun course on campus this week, when head coach Bobby Hauck and the Grizzly football team host "Football 101", helping prime students for the upcoming season.
The second-annual event is set for Thursday, August 29, at Washington-Grizzly Stadium. The student entrance gate opens at 6 p.m., with the event scheduled to run for roughly an hour.
While school credit won't be given, students will get a FREE limited-edition Montana Football Maroon-out t-shirt, FREE Pizza Hut pizza, Coca-Cola products, and a chance to win a flat-screen TV, just for coming out. Universal Athletic will also be on hand selling the season's hottest Griz gear.
Attendees will get the low-down on how to secure their student tickets for UM's slate of six regular-season home games, as well as information on attending Grizzly soccer and volleyball matches.
The UM Spirit Squad will be on hand to perform and teach students the cheers they need to know on gameday.
Coach Hauck and the Griz will then take the field and go over the basics of the Grizzly offense, defense, and special teams, before inviting some lucky participants on the field for hands-on lessons in kicking, passing, and tackling.
The event is designed to help make the UM student section the best in the Big Sky ahead of Grizzlies' home opener on September 7 against North Alabama, with kickoff set for 7 p.m.
