11/1/2021 9:44:00 PM | Football, General, Soccer, Volleyball
Fall seasons are hitting their peaks as the calendar turns to November, and Riley Corcoran, the Voice of the Griz, gets Montana fans caught up on everything happening in and around Missoula. In this week's episode of the Inside The Den podcast, Corcoran talks with the head coaches from Montana's football, soccer and volleyball programs.
First, Corcoran and head football coach Bobby Hauck dissect the Grizzlies' home win over Southern Utah. Montana has now won back-to-back games on the gridiron, and will play its next two games on the road before closing the regular season with the Brawl of the Wild vs. Montana State. Soccer has reached the pinnacle of its season, traveling this week to Greeley, Colorado, for the Big Sky Championship tournament. The Grizzlies earned a bye as the No. 2 seed and will play in the semifinals on Friday afternoon, with the chance to play for the title on Sunday. In this episode, hear from head coach Chris Citowicki, plus Taylor Hansen and Taylor Stoeger. Lastly, Montana volleyball had a big week, beating Montana State in Bozeman for the second consecutive time. The five-set victory also gave the Grizzlies, who have won three of their past five matches, the Main Line Trophy for the first time since the traveling trophy was introduced in the spring. Head coach Allison Lawrence talks about the rivalry win, plus previews this week's action against Eastern Washington (Thursday) and Idaho (Saturday, Senior Day).
