Montana's 311 student-athletes broke new ground during the spring semester.

The Grizzlies, with 232 recording a term GPA of 3.0 or better, 111 making the Dean's List and 29 posting a perfect 4.0, had an average GPA of 3.41 during the most recent semester.

For all the challenges of the past 14 months, of remote learning, of shifting sports schedules, of COVID testing requirements, Montana stayed the course.

It was the 15th consecutive semester the Grizzlies have had a term GPA of 3.0 or better, the 32nd straight with an average cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.

The highest performers during the spring semester: women's golf (3.82), men's tennis (3.71), volleyball (3.61), women's basketball (3.59), women's tennis (3.59) and women's track and field (3.55).

Every team in the department had a semester GPA of 3.17 or better. Every team now has an average cumulative GPA of 3.18 or higher.

The department's highest average cumulative GPAs belong to men's tennis (3.78), women's golf (3.66), volleyball (3.63) and women's cross country (3.61).
