Griz return to ESPN2 in Primetime at Sac State

The Montana Grizzlies will return to primetime TV for a potential top-10 showdown in 2022, with ESPN2 selecting UM's game at Sacramento State to air nationwide, the network announced Wednesday.

The Griz will take on the defending Big Sky champion Hornets on ESPN2 under the lights in the Sacramento, with kickoff set for 9 p.m. Mountain Time, 8 p.m. Pacific, on Saturday, Oct. 22.

The announcement comes as part of the Big Sky Conference's rights agreement with ESPN and Scripps television.

Per the agreement, Scripps Montana television stations, including local CBS (KPAX in Missoula), NBC, and CW stations, will carry Montana's four home conference games and the annual Montana/Montana State game in Bozeman. ESPN+ will stream each conference game without blackout to fans nationwide.

Kickoff times for Montana's remaining schedule will be announced in the near future.

Broadcast and streaming details for UM's two non-conference home games against Northwestern State (Sept. 3) and South Dakota (Sept. 10) will be announced in the near future, as will details for the slate of road games.
