Montana's postseason run continues next week in another battle of FCS bluebloods when the North Dakota State Bison visit Missoula in the semifinal round of the playoffs, with gametime set for Saturday, Dec. 16, at 2:30 p.m.
Â
For the second week in a row, the game will be broadcast to millions of fans nationwide on ESPN2.
Â
The Griz versus Bison game will be a rematch of the 2022 FCS second round matchup in Fargo when North Dakota State topped Montana 49-26.
Â
It will also be the first meeting between the two powerhouse programs in Missoula since 2015 when the Griz beat a Carson Wentz-led Bison squad 38-35 in one of the most memorable games ever at Washington-Grizzly Stadium.
Â
No. 2 seed Montana improved to 12-1 on the season and stayed undefeated at home Friday night beating Furman 35-28 in the quarterfinal round to advance to the semis for the 11th time in program history and the first time since 2011.
Â
North Dakota State avenged a regular season loss to South Dakota with a lopsided 45-17 win over the Coyotes on the road in Vermillion.
Â
The winner of the Griz/Bison game will advance to the FCS National Championship game in Frisco, Texas, on January 7.
