Avery Waddington, who signed a National Letter of Intent with the Lady Griz basketball program in November, has been named a 2024 McDonald's All American Games Nominee.
Waddington, a talented and versatile 6-foot-3 guard, is a senior at Lake City High in Coeur d'Alene. She is one of only three Idaho players to make this year's list.
Waddington was first-team All-5A Inland Empire League as a sophomore and junior. She averaged 13.9 points, 6.4 rebounds and 4.0 assists last season at Lake City High as a junior.
She has led the Timberwolves to a 15-1 start this season.
Three of Montana's last four high school signees under third-year coach Brian Holsinger have been named McDonald's All American Games Nominees.
Current freshmen Macy Donarski and Adria Lincoln made the list last season.
