Six Grizzlies named Academic All-District

Six players from Montana's Big Sky Conference champion women's soccer team were named Academic All-District on Tuesday by College Sports Communicators.

Earning honors were Charley Boone, Reeve Borseth, Maddie Ditta, Ally Henrikson, Ava Samuelson and Chloe Seelhoff.
Â
To be eligible, student-athletes must have at least a 3.5 cumulative GPA and have played in at least 90 percent of their team's matches from this past season or started two-thirds of their team's games.
Â
Boone becomes a three-time Academic All-District selection, Samuelson a two-time selection.
Â
Boone has a 3.75 GPA as she works towards a master's degree in business administration. She previously earned an undergraduate degree in finance.
Â
A center back, Boone was voted first-team All-Big Sky Conference the last two seasons after the Grizzlies allowed 19 goals in 38 matches while going 25-5-8 and winning two league titles.

Borseth, also a center back, started 36 matches the last two seasons. The business management major has a GPA of 3.65.

Ditta earned first-team All-Big Sky honors this past season after totaling four goals, all game-winners, and one assist. She has a 3.87 GPA as an integrative physiology major.

Henrikson has a 3.85 GPA as a finance major. She made 15 starts this past season while totaling more than 1,100 minutes played.

Samuelson, all-region as a junior, concluded her career as a three-time All-Big Sky selection and with three goals and 14 assists, a total that is tied for seventh in program history.

She had a goal and two assists this past season while totaling 1,443 minutes, an average of more than 75 minutes per game. She has a 3.84 GPA as an integrative physiology major.

Seelhoff, in her first year as a Grizzly after transferring from Washington, scored six goals and added an assist this past season. She ranked third in the Big Sky in goals scored.

She has a 3.96 GPA as a management information systems major.

Montana has had 16 Academic All-District selections the past three seasons.
