Tickets to the annual Grizzly Sports Hall of Fame and Grizzly Lifetime Honors Award Banquet are now on sale, giving fans the chance to celebrate the careers of four Montana legends.
Â
The state's biggest Hall of Fame event is set for Friday, Oct. 4, at the Adams Center on the University of Montana Campus. This year's banquet starts with a no-host social at 5 p.m., with festivities getting underway at 6 p.m., which includes a plated dinner.
Â
Griz football will take center stage in 2024 with three of the four inductees having starred on the gridiron for Montana.
Â
Set to be honored are All-American safety Colt Anderson of Butte, All-Big Sky receiver and longtime radio analyst Scott Gurnsey of Tumwater, Wash., All-American offensive lineman Dylan McFarland of Kalispell, and Lady Griz All-Big Sky guard Kelly (Pilcher) Beattie of Missoula.
Â
UM's longest serving President George Dennison will posthumously receive the Grizzly Lifetime Honors Award for his decades of support of Grizzly Athletics and its student-athletes.
Â
Tickets to this once in a lifetime event cost $60 and include a social hour with Hall of Fame inductees and fans, a plated sit-down dinner, and reserved seats at the banquet. Tables of 10 are available for purchase as well. For more information, visit GrizTix.com.
Â
The five will also be celebrated on the field during Montana's home football game against Weber State the following day on Oct. 5. Single game and season tickets are now on sale at GrizTix.com.
Â
The Grizzly Sports Hall of Fame was founded in 1993 to pay tribute and give lasting recognition to those student-athletes, coaches, and teams who have made exceptional contributions and brought recognition, honor, and distinction to the University of Montana in the field of Intercollegiate Athletics, and who have continued to demonstrate in their lives the values imparted by their experience. Induction into the Hall of Fame represents the highest athletic honor the University can bestow.
Â
Established in 2018, the Grizzly Lifetime Honors Award pays tribute and gives recognition to supporters of Grizzly Athletics who are not eligible for the Grizzly Hall of Fame, which includes athletes and coaches only.
