Montana senior receiver Keelan White, a native of North Vancouver, B.C., has been ranked No. 10 on the list of the top 20 Canadians eligible for the 2025 CFL Draft, the league's scouting bureau announced Thursday. He's one of only three total receivers and two players from the FCS to make the list.
Â
White, who was named Montana's offensive MVP in 2023 by the Grizzly coaching staff, is coming off a breakout year, leading the team with 798 receiving yards on 54 catches with four touchdown grabs as a junior. One of those touchdowns was a school record 97-yard strike against Sacramento State – the longest play from scrimmage in Montana history.
Â
He enters his senior season poised for more entries in the Grizzly record books with 104 career catches for 1,234 yards and 10 TDs, averaging nearly 12 yards per catch – all marks sitting just outside Montana's top 20 all-time totals.
The CFL Scouting Bureau, comprising CFL scouts, as well as player personnel directors and general managers from the league's nine clubs, releases its rankings three times each year: in the fall, winter and spring.
Â
The CFL Draft takes place each year in late April. Nearly 80 eligible players from Canadian Universities and Canadian players playing in on NCAA and NAIA teams are selected.
Montana has a long history of players heading north to the CFL.
Â
Grizzly legend Dave Dickenson played in Canada for 11 seasons and won three Grey Cups. He later became the head coach of the Calgary Stampeders and was the 2016 CFL Coach of the Year.
Â
Over 30 other Grizzlies have played north of the border during their careers, while dozens more lettermen have come to Missoula from a Canadian province to play.
Â
Four of the nine first-round selections in the 2024 CFL Draft were listed in the 2023 CFL Scouting Bureau: Fall Edition. Indiana QB Kurtis Rourke, Utah receiver Damien Alford, LSU D-lineman Paris Shand, and Duke O-lineman Eric Shon round out the top four players currently competing at an NCAA program.
