Rain forces schedule adjustment at Big Sky Championship
5/6/2025 8:56:00 PM | Softball
The opening day of the Big Sky Conference softball tournament in Greeley, Colo., was mostly rained out on Tuesday, forcing a change to the remainder of the event schedule.
Â
Four games were scheduled to be played on Tuesday but the day's opening contest between Northern Colorado and Portland State only made it to the fourth inning before rain and lightning wiped out the rest of the day's schedule.
Â
The tournament will resume on Wednesday at 10 a.m. with the conclusion of the UNC-PSU game, with No. 6 Montana scheduled to play No. 3 Weber State at 12:30 p.m.
Â
The winner of Wednesday's first game will advance to face No. 1 seed Idaho State at 3 p.m. The winner of the game between the Grizzlies and Wildcats will play No. 2 Sacramento State at 5:30 p.m.
Â
Three games will be played on Thursday, two on Friday, with the championship game(s) being played on Saturday.
