Bogenschutz, Higgins named Academic All-District

Two members of the 2024-25 Montana women's golf team were named Academic All-District this week by College Sports Communicators.

Kate Bogenschutz and Elle Higgins, both sophomores this past school year, were honored by CSC for the first time.

Bogenschutz, who has a 3.67 GPA as a biology major, played in eight of Montana's nine events in 2024-25 and finished the year with a stroke average of 80.47.

She played her best golf at the end of her sophomore season, finishing the Bobcat Desert Classic and Big Sky Conference Championship with an average score of 76.3.

Bogenschutz had rounds of 76-74-75 at the Big Sky Championship in April to tie for 24th.

Higgins, who transferred to Wyoming following the spring semester, had a two-year GPA at Montana of 3.74 as an accounting major.

In 2023-24, Higgins had a stroke average of 76.15, the best by a freshman in program history. She tied for 16th at the Big Sky Championship.

This past season she had a stroke average of 75.85. Her sophomore and freshman averages rank fifth and sixth on the list of lowest season averages in program history.
