2017: Enters the season as UM’s 10th-leading returning tackler from 2016… Expected to be a leader in Montana’s secondary in his junior season.
2016: Posted the second-most pass breakups and pass deflections for UM with seven each… posted a new career-high of 5 tackles against Saint Francis on Sept. 3… recovered a fumble against Southern Utah… recorded 25 tackles on the season, 19 of which were solo… started all 11 games for the Griz in 2016 at cornerback... Was awarded the Melinda and Herb Depp Athletic Scholarship at the annual Lindsay Awards Banquet.
2015: Sanders transferred to Montana from Washington State… Played in 11 games, but did not make any starts … Was the Grizzlies’ 19th-leading tackler with 14 total tackles … Had one interception and returned it for four yards against Eastern Washington on Nov. 14
2014: Suited up for the Cougars at Washington State.
HIGH SCHOOL: In his junior season at Eastside Catholic HS, Sanders earned All-Metro League first-team honors after making 30 tackles and three interceptions...was team captain his senior year...he tallied 10 tackles and two interceptions in two games before suffering a season-ending injury...named a White Chip prospect as one of Washington's top-100 prospects by the Seattle Times...ranked the No. 22 overall prospect in Washington by ESPN.com in 2012...also lettered in track.
PERSONAL: He is a psychology major...his parents are Richard and Sheila Sanders and Letrice Hendrix.
