2019: Second-team All-Big Sky defensive tackle... Repeat winner of the Larry Miller Award, given to the team's top defensive lineman... Team Captain... Led Montana's defensive line from the front as the Grizzlies' seventh-leading tackler with 46 stops, 4.5 TFLs, 2.5 sacks, and a forced fumble.
2018: Co-recipient of the Larry Miller Award... Montana’s third-leading returning tackler with 43 takedowns …. Presented with the famed 37 legacy jersey at halftime of the Griz Spring Game … Impressed recording 8 total tackles, 1.5 TFL's and a forced fumble vs. UNI (9/1) … Sims recorded four tackles and a TFL on the day vs. Western Illinois (9/15) ... Sims contributed to his team’s efforts with 5 tackles and a sack vs. Portland State (10/6) ... Presented the Stockman Bank Scholarship at the Scholar Athlete Award Banquet in the spring

HIGH SCHOOL:Sims was a three-sport star at high schools in Corvallis and in his hometown of Stevensville, lettering in football, basketball, and track… He was an all-state pick in football at Corvallis HS as a senior for head coach Clayton Curly… His sophomore hoop team at Stevensville HS won the state championship, and he was named the MVP of the state tournament … Was committed to play at Oregon State but chose to stay in Montana
PERSONAL:Sims is a health and human performance major and plans to pursue a career as an athletic trainer… His parents are Julie and Rob Sims of Stevensville… His sister, Alycia, played for the Lady Griz basketball team.
