2017: With three interceptions, one touchdown, and 116 return yards (all while wearing a cast on his left hand), Strong's remarkable performance against Portland State in 2017 earned him a hat-trick of weekly awards. Strong was named the NCAA FCS National Defensive Player of the Week, the STATS FCS National Defensive Player of the Week, and the ROOT Sports Big Sky Conference Defensive Player of the Week following Montana's 45-33 win over PSU... Posted 41 tackles (26 solo).
2016: Strong played in 10 games in his first season at UM after transferring from Oregon State … Third on the team with 68 tackles … Led the team with three interceptions, including a 78-yard touchdown return on Oct. 15 against Sacramento State … six pass deflections and three pass break-ups … three tackles for loss totalling 12 yards … recorded 11 tackles on Sep. 24 against Cal Poly … recovered a fumble Sep. 10 at UNI, where he also had 10 tackles... Given the 2016 "Golden Helmet Award" for the team's hardest hitter at the anual post-season banquet.
2015: At Oregon State: (Sophomore) Started the first eight games of the season at free safety… Missed the final four games of the year due to injury… Fourth on the team with 54 tackles despite missing four games… Recorded a season-high 10 tackles at Washington State
2014: At Oregon State: (Redshirt Freshman) One of the Beavers’ breakout players in 2014… Played as the nickel safety in all 12 games and started three… Recorded 56 tackles, including 5.0 tackles-for-loss and a sack… Registered three pass breakups… Forced a fumble on a quarterback sack against Utah… Tallied 10 tackles in back-to-back games against California and Washington State… Twice had 1.5 TFLs – against Utah and at Washington

PERSONAL: Son of Elvester and Janis Strong … Has six siblings… Brother, Victor Butler, played defensive end for Oregon State (2005-08) and is currently with the NFL’s New York Giants… Sociology major.
