2023 (R-Sr.):
• Walter Camp First Team All-American
• Second-team All-Big Sky offensive line
• Academic All-Big Sky
• Paul Weskamp Award winner for the team’s outstanding offensive lineman
Made 42 career starts at center for the Grizzlies… Named a team captain at the onset of the season… Helped lead a balanced 2023 offense that threw for 2,967 yards and rushed for 2,652 yards, a combined difference of just 315 yards. The Griz were third in the nation and first in the Big Sky in first down offense this season, moving the chains 297 times while outscoring opponents 454-258... Helped UM rack-up the fourth-most rushing yards per-game (176.8) and the second-most rushing TDs (32) this season in the Big Sky... Represented UM at the Big Sky Kickoff media event in Spokane.
2022 (R-Jr.):
• Third-team All-Big Sky
• Academic All-Big Sky
Played a leadership role on the O-line as a junior on an offense that averaged nearly 400 total yards per game… Started all 13 games.
2020-21: (R-So. – Montana): Earned the starting center spot, starting and playing in 12 games and leading a veteran O-line for an offense that averaged nearly 30 points per game. Also started the two spring games.
2019 (R-Fr. – Nebraska):
• Nebraska Student-Athlete Honor Roll
Provided depth on the Nebraska offensive line as a redshirt freshman… Did not see playing time but was a member of the team’s travel roster for four of the Huskers’ five road games.
2018 (Fr. - Nebraska):
• Nebraska Student-Athlete Honor Roll
Joined Nebraska as a walk-on… Was a redshirt.
High School: An Omaha World-Herald All-Nebraska and Lincoln Journal Star Super-State offensive lineman for Bellevue West High School. He helped the Thunderbirds to the state quarterfinals in 2017 while paving the way for a rushing attack that racked up over 2,000 yards. In 2016, Forbes was part of a Class A state championship team and served as one of the lead blockers for current Husker running back Jaylin Bradley. Forbes also made 43 tackles, including two sacks, as a junior in 2016, when he was named honorable-mention all-state by the Omaha World-Herald. Following his prep career, Forbes represented the North Squad in the 2018 Nebraska Shrine Bowl.
Personal: The son of Jeff and Stephanie Forbes. While at Nebraska, volunteered his time with Husker Heroes, the Nebraska Football Road Race, the Malone Center and local hospital visits… Earning his master’s in business administration at UM.
