2016: Lyons enjoyed a breakout spring performance at the “Z” slot receiver position as a sophomore, and will feature heavily in Coach Stitt’s receiver rotation as well and will return kicks… caught six passes for 111 yards in the spring game, with a long of 57 yards… returned a punt for 11 yards for a total of 122 all-purpose yards in the 2016 spring game.
2015: Lyons saw action in 10 games in his redshirt freshman season… broke loose for a 15 yard rush against UC Davis on his only rushing touch of the season… picked up four receptions for 16 yards on the season as a slot receiver… posted a season high of six yards receiving on a single catch against Cal Poly… Had two receptions for a total of five yards against NAU.
2014: He was a redshirt.
HIGH SCHOOL: He was a four-year letterman in football, and earned three letters in track, and one each in lacrosse and baseball...was team captain and all-state as a senior...first team all-league at wide receiver, returner, and safety...his football team won two league titles in 2010 and 2011, and played in the state playoffs those seasons...first team all-state kick returner as a junior...had 1,276 all-purpose yards and 13 touchdowns his senior season, despite missing two games due to an injury...his prep football coach was Dave Miller.
