Maui native Jimmy Morimoto enters his eighth year as Montana's assistant athletic director for football operations in 2025. He joined the Montana staff in 2018 after one season as the director of operations at Hawaii.
Prior to that, he spent two years overseeing recruitment as Fresno State's director of player personnel (2015-16) and eight years at UNLV (2007-14), where he served under current UM head coach Bobby Hauck as the director of player personnel.

In Las Vegas he served as the Rebels’ assistant video coordinator and assistant recruiting coordinator for two years before spending six seasons as the director of player personnel.

A former head coach at Baldwin High School in Maui, Morimoto led the Bears to a 21-2-1 record and a pair of league titles in two seasons. He served on the Baldwin staff for a total of 15 years.

Morimoto earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Phoenix in 2002, and a teaching certificate from Chaminade in 2004. He also received a master’s degree from Walden University in 2007.

He and his wife Tammie have four children, Alyssa, Jimmy Jr., Karissa, and Jaden.
